to become a Member of Ecrotrain Do you find yourself deeply frustrated and discouraged with what you are getting out of your small Business because… You do know what to do … and still you don’t do it. And to make matters worse … you don’t understand why. As you probably know, there’s a whole world out there of Books, CD’s, DVD’s, E Books, Seminars, Workshops, Speakers, Trainers and Coaches – Most of which relate to personal experiences about achieving business success and the steps to take to achieve it. Interestingly, the steps themselves are centuries old. They’re not too complicated. It is a simple process. In fact to most people they seem too simple. So they don’t do them. I often say that the process of earning money is one of the simplest things to do. That usually gets people’s attention! For a lot of people – maybe even most people- being short of money is a gut gnawing problem they wrestle with on a daily basis. Once you have a cash flow, the money makes a big difference. Not so much in what you can buy, but more in the way of giving you choices and freedom. That is why money helps immensely towards reducing a lot of business stress and problems. In my mentoring and business coaching I don’t always elaborate on a person’s skills. They usually form the conventional basis of why you went into business, why earning money is the easiest things to do. But how much money you earn, is another thing. You probably know what to do already. Most people already know what to do! That is not the problem. The problem is they don’t do the things they should do. It’s probably the same with you – you might know what to do - or at least if you don’t know, you take steps to find out fairly quickly… But still you don’t do the things that matters most. Sure, I agree there are some operators for all number of reasons, just don’t know what to do. But they do naught to find out what they can do to make all the difference to their business and their lives. They prefer to stay wallowing in the ‘poor bugger me’ attitudes. For a long time I was the same. I felt I could do better – but I didn’t do better. I felt the unuttered questions of my family and friends, “Noel, why aren’t your doing better?” It cut deep. For the truth was when I started in small business back then, I did not know how. Technically I knew about engineering and business practices. The real problem was not knowing what to do - to make money. The problem was to know why I did not go the extra steps... to learn how I could add the polish to what I knew, to achieve success. And in the ‘ECROTrain Challenge,’ apart from revealing just about everything I’ve learned over the years – I’ll keep challenging you on the most important question for you. Why don’t you do the things you know you should – to be successful? And let me give you a clue – It is not about what we think. It is more about the way we think, feel, look and act … and how these four factors of life govern our achievements. When I started out on my search for business success I did not know why top performers are top performers. I was a top performer in my field. Like so many others I did not know why I was a top performer. That was before I went into small business whereby I dropped to near the bottom of the feeding chain. The same is true today 40 years later for most successful people – if you asked them why they are successful – they don’t know. They can tell you what they do or did. But what they really can’t tell you is why they chose to do the things they did. What made the difference in their choices on how they thought, felt, looked and acted? That is the question. I wanted to know the answer. I really wanted to know. And that got me started. It was ‘the challenge’ for me to research. I wanted to know what made a true entrepreneur successful. And that got me talking with, observing and studying the successful people that came into my world over the six defined phases of my work life. Over the past 50 years I have read many biographies and spoken with many movers and shakers in small business, agriculture, industry, commerce, politics, education, churches and sport. In the first ten years it was when I worked in the corporate world and the later forty years was when I was owner and consultant to small business. And I am still studying it. To unravel the mysteries and myths of the success question has been my life work. To discover the multi facets to this ‘Jewel in the Crown,’ and passing on the secrets to the 10% of the small business community who want to know, is still my all consuming ambition. I know 90% of business operators are skeptical. Most need to see results and or a pending disaster to move them to do something about it. This is what I found and started to coach people on it. I was applying it to my life and achieving what I deemed to be my level of success. But I wanted to be able to pass on the secrets in a way that other small business operators could self- coach themselves, to adapt and apply the tenants in their business and lives. I did that and still do that now. In the ECROTrain Challenge programs I will teach you the difference between people who are successful and those who fail… is their approach to solving concerns and problems. The ‘successful people’ have learned to solve their Business problems within the day and then move on to confront new ones. On the other hand, the ‘failure people’ deal with the same problems, day after day. They are never resolved. Eventually they end up ‘running away’ from them.
